Registration
Q: Do I have to provide a birth certificate?
A: Yes, all new players are required to provide a copy of their birth certificate. CCSA will be happy to make a copy for you
at registration.
Q: Are teams co-ed?
A: We have boys and girls teams for Under 6 through Under 12 divisions. We only have co-ed teams in the Under 14 division.
CCSA will only assign girls to boys teams provided that we have no other options. Parents of the kids will be notified
prior to team assignments.
Q: When and where are practices?
A: Each coach will determine what is best for his/her team. The majority of practices are in the early evening hours, i.e.
beginning at 5:00 p.m., during the week. Many coaches will have practices in the hometown of their players but this is left to
their discretion.
Q: When are games?
A: CCSA has a minimum of eight games per season guarantee for each team. Games are played on Saturdays beginning at 9:30 a.m.
or weekdays beginning at 5:00 p.m. when daylight allows.
Q: What does my registration fee cover?
A: Your fee will help pay for the following; a uniform (jersey, shorts and socks), players fee to North Texas State Soccer
Association (NTSSA), insurance provided through NTSSA, certified referees for games, equipment needed for fields and a
trophy/medal at the end of the season.
Q: Can I coach a team?
A: Any person wanting to volunteer is allowed provided that they pass a background check done through NTSSA. NTSSA requires
that all new coaches for young children take a coaches clinic. CCSA will provide this clinic free of charge.
Q: What kind of shoes are required and what size of ball do I need?
A: Tennis shoes are acceptable. Cleats may be worn as long as they do not have a cleat on the toe, i.e. baseball cleats. Ball size for Under 6 and Under 8 divisions is a 3, Under 10 and Under 12 divisions is a 4 and Under 14 and up is a 5. SHINGUARDS ARE MANDATORY AT ALL PRACTICES AND GAMES.
